Picasso Business

Hey bosses. I hope everybody had a Merry Christmas. I sure did. I got to spend time with family and friends I haven’t seen in  awhile. It was great fun catching up with my family and seeing what everyone is up to now. All in all, a great holiday season for me so far. Anyways, I wanted to make today’s message about art. In fact, I love and believe in art and it’s benefits so much, I’m adding a new section to the site called “Hamed’s Art”. I will be updating it continuously so you can see the progress of my “art project”. Who knows, might even land a gig with my online art portfolio (although I’m not holding my breathe lol.) It’s all good though. Today’s post is bigger than just the new section on my site. It is about the power (and profitablity) of art itself.

Take in the beauty

The reason I wanted to add this to the site is to give you some fine art to look at while you are on the moneymaking mission. The whole project itself is to get my artwork out there as well (and maybe land a gig that pays me for my art.) Now, I know you’re thinking that Art and Business don’t go together. But, you couldn’t be more wrong. Art pieces can sell for huge prices. As a matter of fact, the most expensive art piece to date was sold just this year in May. It was Pablo Picasso’s original work (shown below and as featured image) called “Les femmes d’Alger (Version ‘O’)”. This piece sold for a record 179.4 million dollars. Yes, that’s right, a whopping $180 mill for a piece of art. You can pick your jaw up off the floor now. Besides, just the retail aspect, there is also the stimulating and uplifting benefits of art. Which, are even more important to the bigger picture. 🙂

Art inspires us to do greater and become more. It inspires us to reach for greater heights. It is also a multi-billion dollar industry in itself. The one commodity that is always in demand, even through rough financial times, is fine art. That is surprising considering people would be more concerned about the basic necessities in life, but it’s simply not true. Art collectors will always buy art and pay ridiculous prices for them as well. So, art is more than just a luxury. Some would argue that it’s a necessity of a good life. It is the driving force of inspiration for high level executives of varying ranks. Simply looking at an awe-inspiring can help you visualize the next step for your business (and even your life.)

By the way, I recently signed up for the “Adobe Creative Cloud” and it has brought out my inner artist. I initially did it for covers for my ebooks and headers and art for sites. But, then I saw behance.com and the cool art on there. It inspired me to open an account with them and display my art online. The featured image is my first art project. It is a collage I put together on Photoshop. It’s a pair of Air Jordans (which I’m a collector of), a couple hundred dollars (cost of the kicks) and a bloody hand (victim). It is supposed to represent the latest violent incidents where innocent folks are getting themselves killed over some damn sneakers. People have been shot to death over some Jordans and it’s absolutely unacceptable! We need to do better as a society and love each other more. So, the point of the piece is that nobody should put themselves in harm’s way over material objects. Here is the piece below. Hope you like it. Even if you don’t like it, hope you appreciate the effort.

Money and Art

Of course, the inner marketer in me will always find ways to monetize anything within reason lol. This new section will give the site more depth and also add a couple more possible revenue stream ideas. I hope you enjoy it. I always visualized my site incorporating all types of monetization opportunities. That is the goal, after all. And, that is not changing. The number one focus of this site is to learn different ways to make money online. However, I always wanted my site to have soul and not be so stiff like the other mmo blogs out there. So, I think this will be a great addition. Also, keep in mind I will be updating you on all the different monetization oppurtunities in art. And, there are plenty of ways to monetize art bosses. You can sell your art online through sites like Etsy.com or FineArtAmerica.com. You can even start your own site with custom domain and your art on it. The point is, there are plenty of ways to monetize art. Conversely, sometimes you just want to make (or buy) art for the sake of the beauty and the inspiration it brings you. B0$$!
